Isle of Dogs Contact Sheet

Last week, we set out for a walk around the Isle of Dogs, visiting Canary Wharf, Heron Quays and West India Pier before torrential rain started! We had to abandon our walk around the headland, and headed towards Crossharbour DLR station. After the rain cleared up, we explored around Millwall Inner and Outer Docks before heading home from Heron Quays.

Shot on a Pentax Super ME with Ilford FP 4+ 125 film, using SMC Pentax-M 28mm f/2.8 and SMC Pentax-M 135mm f/3.5 lenses.

M.K. Carlton chimney

Looking up between a victorian chimney and modern block of flats

The 19th Century chimney was part of the M.K. Associates Carlton Shoe Company. It currently sits in a building site for the construction of a new foot bridge between Fish Island and the Olympic Park. Like most of this area, many old Victorian buildings are nestled amongst the increasing number of new redevelopments, such as this modern block of flats.

31st March 2020 at Bow Locks, London. This was just after the Coronavirus lockdown began and it marked the beginning of exploring the streets in my local area, rather than central London. I never knew how many wonderful places there were right next to where I had been living for the past year!
